What's New?

First of all, our deepest apologies. The sad truth is that nothing at all has been new about our site for ages. But now that we've taught ourselves how to do this web page thing, we promise with renewed vigor (and veracity) to keep our site fresh, fresh, fresh. For now, the newest thing available is our recently launched publishing insider's news, information, and commentary site, www.publisherslunch.com. It really is updated daily, Monday through Friday.

Truly new books coming shortly for Spring 2000 include the following:

That's Really Funny!
A companion to our very successful humor collection, That's Funny!

What the Heck Were You Expecting?
An extremely funny parenting manual for new fathers in particular, from Thomas Hill, the author of our bestselling pregnancy parody, What to Expect When Your Wife is Expanding (now with over 100,000 copies sold; check out the great reader reviews at Amazon and bn.com).

About the Author
A marvelous book for passionate fiction readers by Emily and Alfred Glossbrenner , looking in depth at 125 of the bestselling, best-loved authors, complete with juicy biographical details, fascinating background information, selected reading lists, the Best Book to Read First, and suggestions for other similar authors to try. A comprehensive companion site is already in the works at www.abouttheauthor.com.

5,001 Things for Kids to Do
From Barbara Kipfer, author of the bestselling 14,001 Things to be Happy About, comes a great collection of countless parent-free activities and ideas to stimulate kids.

Plus, we've just brought up to date our ever-popular collection of historical bestseller lists, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century (the Winston Churchill on the early fiction lists, by the way, was an American novelist who died in 1947; you'll find his British namesake only on the non-fiction bestseller lists). Please note, we have no idea how you can obtain a copy of any of these books (check alibris and bookfinder on the web for starters, but please don't ask us).

See something you like? Through Amazon's Associates programs, you can now buy our books on-line easily; just look for the links at the end of each book description.
